Warner Bros has unveiled these three new featurettes for the family adventure film, ‘Jack the Giant Slayer’. Directed by Bryan Singer (‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’, ‘Mockingbird Lane’), the film is a re-imaging of the classic ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ tale filled with humor and action.

The first featurette, ‘A Modern Fairytale’, contains some great behind the scenes footage with commentary from Bryan Singer, Nicholas Hoult, Eleanor Tomlinson and Ewan McGregor. Singer has stated in past interviews that this is his first foray into CGI. There is quite a bit of it in the film, and from the tidbits seen, it looks like the effects were well done.

The second featurette, ‘A Giant Adventure’ centers on the set design and filming of the scenes that deal with the giants. Here you see how Singer combines traditional set design and props with green screen to produce the effect of humans in a giant land. What was interesting here was the large props that were made for the film.

The last featurette is a basic overview of the film.

Overall, all three videos are an interesting watch and contain lots of footage not seen in prior TV spots or trailers.
