Sites like ours that break news on films, TV shows, and comics sometimes get asked to take down scoops for a number of different reasons. It’s happened to me before and now Brazilian entertainment site Omelete was the latest to fall victim to the studios.  According to Comic Book Resources, the site was asked to take down their latest scoop about Shane Black’s ‘Iron Man 3’ from a recent presentation in Sao Paulo.

Before I continue, I must note that these are some rather large SPOILERS, so please proceed with caution.

In the report, Omelete ran comments from Simon Philips, the President of Marvel Entertainment International and Consumer Products, in which he disclosed (or confirmed) details about some aspects of the plot. Here’s what the report said:

“Tony Stark will have an underground Hall of Armors with somewhere around 16 new suits, including some classics that fans will recognize from the comics. It’s also reported that Pepper Potts will get to don her own suit and get in on some of the fights as well.”

It goes on to say that the scene in the trailer where Tony is lying on a hospital bed is the scene where Extremis is introduced into his system. Once it takes hold, it allows him to “create new armors from leftover pieces of older ones.”

Though the request for removal may indicate the validity of this report, label this as a rumor for now. Although, it would make sense to include Rescue in ‘Iron Man 3’, especially since Joss Whedon is looking to include some more lady Avengers in his sequel. With Pepper suiting up, she may be a prime candidate for membership into Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
