On the heels of yesterday’s teaser for the teaser trailer and in preparation of the official trailer to be released tomorrow, Marvel and Disney have released a slew of new stills from ‘Iron Man 3.’

While we didn’t get a look at War Machine’s amour in yesterday’s teaser, the studios must have heard the fans disappointment as one of the images released displays the suit in what could be described as a star-spangled reveal. The look of the suit is much more impressive than the concept art released a few weeks back.

Also below is our first look of Ben Kingsley as the Mandarin! While we saw the back of head in the teaser, thanks to EW, we have the first image of the film’s villain.

Marvel President, Kevin Feige, says this Iron Man movie will be more about the man than his toys. The sequel picks up several months after the events seen in ‘The Avengers’ and as Feige states, “(Tony) basically loses all of his toys and is forced to just use his mind to rebuild and to face his biggest enemy. He’s ultimately the engineering superhero. He’s so charming and so flamboyant that sometimes you forget that’s what he is…” In the process, he creates his most advanced Iron Man suit yet to battle the Mandarin who will stop at nothing to destroy the Marvel superhero.

Check out the photos below with comments Feige gave in interviews with both USA Today and EW:

“…one of the things we love about (Tony). It is not a new girl in every film. Pepper Potts is an incredibly important part of his life and his evolution as a hero. She plays a very big part in this film.”

“Robert is in almost every scene, which, when you have Robert, is not a bad thing,” the producer says. “The goal with Iron Man 3 is to again prove that all of our single heroes are as interesting alone as they are when they’re all together in an Avengers movie.”

Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) is left to survey the damage caused when the Mandarin attacks Tony.  “While he is a charming guy,” says Feige, “it is often hard to root for a genius billionaire playboy philanthropist because they seem to have it all. In this movie, we are again going to see him stripped down more than we’ve ever seen him since he was in that cave, again with his back against the wall and with nothing but his wits to help him survive… He basically loses all of his toys and is forced to just use his mind to rebuild and to face his biggest enemy.”

The suit that we see in the film will be the most advanced Iron Man suit yet. “…we see he’s invented a technology that allows him to basically have the suit arrive to him anywhere at any time, piece by piece. And it doesn’t always work at first.”

Here’s a closer look at the Iron Patriot suit that is said to be worn by  James Rhodes/War Machine (Don Cheadle).

While Kingsley is not Chinese, Fiege wanted to blur the villian’s background for the film. “It’s less about his specific ethnicity than the symbolism of various cultures and iconography that he perverts for his own end,” he explains.

Also different is that The Mandarin in ‘Iron Man 3’ will not be the version most are familiar with from the comic books but he will be linked to the prior two movies. In the comics, the Ten Rings that gave the Mandarin power were of an extraterrestrial origin. In a bit of a twist, fans will recall that the terrorist group that kidnapped Tony Stark in the first ‘Iron Man’ film were also called the Ten Rings and they were the ones that gave Whiplash, the villain in the second film, some assistance against Stark. The Mandarin will finally come out of the shadows and show who has been pulling the strings in the background all this time.

And finally before tomorrow’s trailer is released, here’s the new teaser poster for ‘Iron Man 3:’
