‘Star Wars’ fans need not wait any longer because this Saturday marks the return of Cartoon Network’s ‘The Clone Wars’ to your television sets. Or laptops. However you choose to watch your TV shows.

Bridging the gap between the prequel trilogy and THE trilogy, ‘The Clone Wars’ is now in it’s fifth season. Thanks to Blastr, we don’t have to wait until Saturday to get our fix because a new clip has been released from the season premiere. In the clip, we see Darth Maul, who returned to the ‘Star Wars’ universe last season from what we thought was a pretty finite end, and some of his Sith brethren approach the crime syndicate known as Black Sun, possibly for some sort of partnership or, more likely, a hostile takeover. Check out the clip below:

I am a huge ‘Star Wars’ fan, but I haven’t been keeping up with the ‘Clone Wars’ series. Regardless, based on this clip, signs point to this season being one of the darkest ones yet. But could it also be the last? When the show was first announced, George Lucas said that there would be “at least 100 episodes” in this series to connect his hugely popular films, so does this fifth season mean things could be winding down?
