Yesterday, some photos surfaced from a battle taking place Bourne Wood for ‘Thor: The Dark World’. This morning, Lady Sif, played by Jamie Alexander, joined the Asgardians in battle. Now, the God of Thunder himself entered the fray.
Thanks to Comic Book Movie, we get our first look at Chris Hemsworth decked out in some new Asgardian armor as Thor on set alongside Sif in the heat of battle. The Avenger is seen wielding his trusty hammer, Mjolnir, in these pictures against the army race known as the Marauders. Check out the new pictures of Hemsworth in the Thunderer’s next big screen adventure below:
There’s some speculation that this scene may be the opening sequence of the film. If that’s the case, maybe Sif and Thor won’t be the only familiar Asgardian warriors we’ll be seeing in this battle. Maybe we’ll even get to see the Warriors Three, played by Ray Stevenson, Tadanobu Asano, and Zachary Levi, enter the battle as well.
‘Thor: The Dark World’, starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Christopher Eccleston, Kat Dennings, and Anthony Hopkins, is scheduled to hit theaters on November 8, 2013.
