It’s been over 2 months since the trailer for ‘The Apparition’ was released and since then, nothing has been heard about the horror film. But it looks like Warner Bros. aims to remind movie goers that the film will be released in theaters later this month as just recently, they have released over 20 new images from the movie.

The film combines traditional narrative filming with the ever popular found footage technique that seems to prevail in most horror films these days. The images don’t look too scary but if you need a refresher about what the film is about, here’s the official synopsis:

When frightening events start to occur in their home, young couple Kelly (Ashley Greene) and Ben (Sebastian Stan) discover they are being haunted by a presence that was accidentally conjured during a university parapsychology experiment. The horrifying apparition feeds on their fear and torments them no matter where they try to run. Their last hope is an expert in the supernatural, Patrick (Tom Felton), but even with his help they may already be too late to save themselves from this terrifying force…

‘The Apparition’ was directed by Todd Lincoln and stars Ashley Greene (‘The Twilight Saga’ movies, ‘Pan Am’), Sebastian Stan (‘Captain America: The First Avenger,’ ‘Once Upon a Time’), Tom Felton (‘Harry Potter’ movies, ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’) and Luke Pasqualino (‘Blood and Chrome,’ ‘Skins’).

Look for the film to be in in theaters on August 24th a week after ‘The Awakening.’
