Season 3 of ‘Game of Thrones’ is well underway currently filming in Northern England, and we have the first look at a scene between Gwendoline Christie’s Brienne of Tarth and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau’s Jamie Lannister.

The behind the scenes video is part of a UTV segment about the show and includes an interview with executive producer Frank Doelger. But what really was a perk was the detailed breakdown about the scene featured in this video. Be warned, though, there are spoilers if you decide to read on!

WARNING! POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD!

According to a reporter who was at the location, the scene shown in the footage was part of Brienne’s mission from Lady Catelyn Stark to escort Jamie Lannister back to his family at King’s Landing. Lady Stark believes the Lanister family (which includes the mother of King Joffrey) is holding her two daughters captive and hopes to get them back in exchange for Jamie.

In addition to the scene that was described above, Doelger also confirmed that the writers have decided to split the book Season 3 is based upon:

“The writers have decided to divide Book Three into two seasons. I know George (R.R. Martin) is a huge fan of the series and I think he has a lot more stories to be told, so I’m confident that he’ll keep up.”
