This is it, bat-gang! ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, director Christopher Nolan’s conclusion to his Batman trilogy, swoops into theaters with midnight showings on Thursday and then an official opening this coming Friday the 20th.
Other than Marvel’s ‘The Avengers’, this movie might be the biggest hyped superhero film of the year and DC Comics and Warner Brothers aren’t about to let you forget it. Just this past week, WB has released several clips from the film.
Now, we’ve got a few more glimpses into the world of the Dark Knight as WB just released three new television spots with blurbs from the critics. As expected, the blurbs include some words like epic, legendary, and masterpiece. I’ll admit that I’m one of the very few naysayers on this movie (I loved ‘Dark Knight’ but I loathe Bane) but, if the critics are to be believed, this might be an amazing movie and force me to change my mind. Check out the critics trailers below:
You’ll note that in that second critic-infused trailer, it mentions that there are 4 days left until the premiere. Well, there’s another trailer that began the countdown a day earlier. I don’t know if these are the first of several that will be appearing this week, but I wouldn’t be surprised.
‘The Dark Knight Rises’ is directed by Christopher Nolan, and stars Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Marion Colltiard. It opens on July 20th in theaters and IMAX.
