Super bummed that we have to wait so long until the next season of everyone’s favorite zombie show? If so, I have some great news for you!

Over on AMC’s official ‘The Walking Dead” blog, they’ve announced today that on Saturday, July 7th and Sunday, July 8th they will be airing a special preview of season three buried in a marathon of all 19 episodes of the first two seasons. The event will culminate in a special episode of ‘Talking Dead’, where host Chris Hardwick will introduce a never-before-seen black and white version of the pilot episode as tribute to Robert Kirkman’s comic book after getting into the good stuff.

Airing only a week before San Diego Comic-Con, this marathon will include introductions from Hardwick from the set of season three in Atlanta, where he’ll give the audience a glimpse of the new sets and chat with cast and crew about classic moments from the series thus far. On the hour-long live episode of ‘Talking Dead’ on Sunday, July 8th at 9/8c, he’ll show off a tour of the season three set, more interviews, his usual celebrity guests, some plans for TWD at Comic-Con, and, most importantly, a brand new scene from the new season!

I’m getting super excited even writing about this. If you’re a fan of ‘The Walking Dead’, be sure to tune in that weekend to get your fix before the season premiere in the fall!
