According to The Hollywood Reporter, comedic actor Vik Sahay is joining the cast of the latest horror movie from ‘The Devil Inside’ director William Brent Bell titled ‘WER’. Sahay is best known for his role in NBC’s ‘Chuck’ and he can currently be seen in ‘American Reunion’.

‘WER’ follows “an investigation of a gruesome slaying of a family” in Paris. The film already boasts ‘Criminal Minds’ actress A.J. Cook, Simon Quarterman, and Brian J. O’Connor as part of the cast. Sahay will play a member of the defense team that learns that their client and suspect in the murders, played by O’Connor, is a werewolf.

The movie begins shooting in Bucharest, Romania later this month and is being produced by FilmDistrict, Sierra/Affinity, and the Incentice Filmed Entertainment fund. Other than that, details are very scarce on this project. Even the proper details surrounding the name are uncertain. According to Empire, Bell said that he couldn’t speak about specifics and the rumors floating around, but he did say that “wer” can mean both “who” in German and “man” in Old High German.

I don’t recall ‘The Devil Inside’ exactly receiving rave reviews, but we’ll see what director Bell has up his sleeves with this new take on a werewolf story. Hopefully it will be better than some of the other offerings on the subject from recent years like ‘The Wolfman’ or ‘Twilight’.
