Fox Searchlight Pictures just put out a press release concerning the film ‘Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho’. It seems that the original title has been changed to just ‘Hitchcock’. That’s a load off because the original title was a mouthful and I kept calling the film ‘Hitchcock’ or ‘Making of Psycho’ anyway.

The same press release goes on to state that the picture, which is a dramatization of the legendary director’s life during the filming of his classic film ‘Psycho’ (well duh… look at the original title). According to Fox Searchlight, the film will focus on the romantic relationship between Hitchcock (Anthony Hopkins) and his wife Alma Reville (Helen Mirren).

‘Hitchcock’ will be directed by Sacha Gervasi (‘Anvil! The Story of Anvil’) and in addition to Hopkins and Mirren, will also star Scarlett Johansson (‘Avengers’), Jessica Biel (‘The Illusionist’), Kurtwood Smith (‘Robocop’), Wallace Langham (‘CSI‘), Toni Collette (‘Sixth Sense’), Danny Huston (‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’), Michael Stuhlbarg (‘Hugo’), and Michael Wincott (‘The Crow’).
