It seems like the cast of CW’s ‘Arrow’ is nearly complete. Deadline reports today that Colin Salmon (‘Resident Evil’) has joined the seemingly already complete cast list.

‘Arrow’ is a modern take on DC Comics’ Green Arrow character. In the comics, the Arrow is Oliver Queen, a billionaire playboy and sometimes mayor who takes to the streets to clean up his town as the Green Arrow. The new CW incarnation has said that it will be a new take on the character while trying to stay true to his roots. It’s unclear what exactly that phrase means for the character as of yet. This will make the second live-action incarnation of the character on the CW. The first Green Arrow was played by Justin Hartley on ‘Smallville’.

Salmon will be playing Walter Steele, an ex-associate of Oliver’s father. Salmon will be joining Stephen Amell (Green Arrow), Katie Cassidy (Dinah Lance), David Ramsey (John Diggle), Susanna Thompson (Moira Queen), Colin Donnell (Tommy Merlyn), and Willa Holland (Thea Queen).

The CW hopes that ‘Arrow’ will be the replacement for the superhero spot that was vacated with ‘Smallville’ went off the air in 2011.
