About Patrick Ruddell
Patrick is a former real estate investor turned domain name investor in 2008 after watching the real estate market crash. Transitioning from flipping homes to flipping virtual real estate was seamless and he instantly fell in love with the industry. Soon after becoming a domainer, he decided to create a blog that would later become one of the more popular blogs in the domain world. The blog allowed him to share about his journey into this new territory and also to offer insight as an experienced business man. Promoting the site forced him to become an expert in social media, which in turn garnered him invitations to speak at conferences as a social media expert. Not long ago, he held the first ever domaining conference on a cruise ship and again gained a lot of attention for his innovation in the industry. Most recently he purchased ScienceFiction.com and is focused on making it one of the primary news sources for the science fiction genre. Like many others, his introduction to science fiction came when he was a young boy reading comics such as The Punisher, Spiderman and Superman. As an adult, he’s more into science fiction games and more so movies, his all time favorite being The Matrix.
