Pollyanna McIntosh The Walking Dead

A lot of people have been floating around the idea that Pollyanna McIntosh‘s Jadis didn’t actually rescue Andrew Lincoln’s, Rick Grimes but that the entire series of ‘The Walking Dead‘ has still been a fever dream which he was having in his coma. Grimes wasn’t looking too hot while these events unfolded, but now the actress is shooting that idea down. The detail came up at the recent Walker Stalker Con New Jersey where McIntosh was asked about the entire “A” and “B” classification system from the series which we saw characters such as Rick, Negan, and Father Gabriel referenced.

“I’ve heard some great theories. I even had a theory from a fan the other day that it was a blood type, which is a very cool one.

They had this idea that Rick’s been having a dream this whole time and that we’re paramedics asking him if he’s an A or a B for his blood type, isn’t that cool?”

The idea is that this is Rick with a wound and has been having visions and hearing voices from the past where McIntosh continued that “And that really it’s just us standing over him and he’s created this whole coma dream.”

She was quick to shoot this theory down however and cited the franchise creator while doing so stating:

“Which of course would be very Dallas, and [The Walking Dead creator Robert] Kirkman has already said that’s not the plan, so I can safely say that without ruining anything.

This shouldn’t come as a surprise to longtime fans of the series as Kirkman has previously stated that it would “be a terrible story” if the entire series was just Rick in a coma from the events of the first episode.

Thankfully, this won’t be the case, but she did share a few other theories which have sprouted up as well including:

“I’ve heard some amazing fan theories. I’ve heard some fan theories that him being passed out in the helicopter, that some naughtiness is going to be going on.

I’ve also heard that we’re in Texas, I don’t know why. Some people think that we’re at the Commonwealth. And I can’t wait to find out.”

I guess we’ll need to wait for ‘The Walking Dead’ to return on Sunday, February 10th, 2019 to hopefully get some hints as to what we’ll see in the eventual ‘Walking Dead’ spinoff movies.

What do you think this classification system means for ‘The Walking Dead’? Where do you suspect Anne ended up taking Rick? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
