Pollyanna McIntosh Is Sure That Anne/Jadis Will Be In The Rick Grimes 'Walking Dead' Spin-Off Movies

SPOILER WARNING: This article contains SPOILERS for ‘The Walking Dead’ Season 9, so if you haven’t seen every episode and don’t want to know what happens, turn back now.

‘The Walking Dead’ has lost a number of major characters in Season 9, but unlike in the past, not all of them were killed off.  Instead, Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Rick (Andrew Lincoln) departed with their fates undecided, and in Rock’s case, he didn’t go alone.  He was “rescued” by the mysterious “helicopter group” who were also in possession of Pollyanna McIntosh’s Anne (formerly known as Jadis) in a helicopter (of course) and they flew off into the unknown.

Well, unknown for a few hours.  Almost as soon as the November 4th episode, “What Comes After” aired, AMC announced that Rick Grimes would be back in three made-for-TV movies, which AMC stated would have enormous theatrical budgets.  Considering that Rick escaped with his life thanks to Anne, it should come as no surprise that she will also appear in these films.

McIntosh appeared at Fan Fest San Jose this past weekend, but predictably she couldn’t reveal much.  In fact, she stated that she hadn’t even seen a script yet and hadn’t been told much.  However, she did disclose:

“We’re going to see where Rick is, so she would be there.  Things are in process right now, it’s exciting. I’m not ready to leave her behind yet.”

She also speculated that the first film would provide “more of an understanding of the community that [the helicopter group] came from and that I’m going to with them.”

The films are being overseen by Scott M. Gimple, who previously stated:

“I am extremely hard at work on the first one right now, and most likely filming next year, though I’m freaking out about deadlines right now, so I’m not going to tell you exactly when because it will only make me pass out.”

Rick and Anne might not be the only faces from the past to resurface in these movies.  The “helicopter people” are also responsible for the disappearance of Heath (Corey Hawkins) in Season 7.  Could fans find out what became of him?

There’s been no word on when these films will be released, as it sounds as though the script for the first is still being written.  But check back for details as they emerge.
