Pedro Pascal has been embraced by the big leagues!  After starring on series such as ‘Game of Thrones’, ‘Graceland’, ‘The Mentalist’ and ‘Narcos’, he will appear as the sinister Maxwell Lord in ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ and it has now been announced that he may star in Disney+’s ‘The Mandalorian’.  Reportedly he has been offered the role and is now in negotiations.

Jon Favreau developed this ‘Star Wars’ spin-off for Disney+, and wrote the script for the pilot.  Dave Filoni (‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’, ‘Star Wars Rebels’) will direct the pilot.

‘The Mandalorian’ takes place after the fall of the Empire, but before the rise of the First Order.  “It follows the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.”

Additional directors lined up to tackle episodes of ‘The Mandalorian’ include Taika Waititi (‘Thor: Ragnarok’), Bryce Dallas Howard (‘Vanity Fair: Decades’), Rick Famuyiwa (‘Dope’), and Deborah Chow (‘Jessica Jones’).

In addition to the television projects mentioned, Pascal has also appeared in films such as ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’, ‘The Equalizer 2’, and ‘If Beale Street Could Talk’.  He will appear in the upcoming movies ‘Triple Frontier’ and ‘Wasp Network’.

Pascal will join Carl Weathers who was just announced as playing a mystery role on ‘The Mandalorian’.

Here is the show’s official synopsis:
