While we’re all aware that the Marvel motto of “It’s All Connected” fell to the wayside years ago, we still do see connecting dots pop up on occasion and the latest indication of that is in the third season of ‘Daredevil.’ Here, we do not see a connection to the Marvel Cinematic Universe at all, but instead, are given a reference to what looks to be events that took place in the season finale of Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D..’ A nice touch that will be welcomed by fans but is also a blow to our hearts when we remember that initial premise and the disconnect that now exists between various aspects of Marvel TV and the MCU.

In the past seasons of ‘Daredevil, on the wall of the New York Bulletin where Karen Page works, we’ve seen framed copies of major stories grace its walls. In the latest installment, there is a headline that reads “Blackout cripples NY” which likely refers to the fourth season of Agents where the Watchdogs were using electromagnet pulses to knock out power in major cities who were harboring Inhumans, and we know that New York City was one of those who was targeted.

The Netflix shows and ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ have referenced one another in the past with the ABC series having a news ticker across the bottom of the season back in Season 3 talking about riots in Hell’s Kitchen and ‘Luke Cage’ using a Judas Bullet which had been shown off in Season 4 of ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’

Even though the various heads of Marvel have splintered the cinematic experience much as Hydra has fractured over the years from having too many leaders, it is fun to see how many creators are still tying things together in the background when they can.

Do you love that the shows are still including little Easter Eggs like this one? Do you think that things will ever get back to “It’s All Connected”? Share your thoughts in the comments below, True Believers!
