Get OutIf you’re looking for something to do this President’s Day then you should get ready to hit up your local AMC theatre for a free showing of Jordan Peele‘s break out hit ‘Get Out‘! The director, through Universal Pictures, is offering fans free tickets to special showings of the Academy Award-nominated movie. With the movie even getting some Oscar mentions it seems like the studio is pushing to get it in front of audiences one more time, or for the first time in some instances.

There will be 55 AMC theatres which will be screening the movie, and everyone in attendance will need to request their ticket the day it is showing. The request will only get you one free admission to this exclusive showing on February 19th, 2018 so make sure your friends or significant others are putting theirs in at the same time! As it will only be for a 7:00 p.m. showing and this is on a first-come-first-serve basis, tickets will be limited.

To check out which locations this will be available at you’ll need to head over to www.getoutoneyearlater.com.

While none of my usual theatres have the movie, there are a couple that isn’t too out of the way, and I may try to make this showing myself!

According to President of Distribution at Universal Pictures, Jim Orr:

“When Jordan approached us about a way to thank fans one year after the release of ‘Get Out’, we thought a Presidents’ Day screening during Black History Month would be a wonderful way to commemorate the film’s impact. The success of his stunning vision would not have been possible without the audience’s passion for both Get Out’s groundbreaking storytelling and its deft use of art as society’s mirror.”

While we know that Peele is open to a sequel he has plenty on his plate right now and doesn’t have a fully formed idea for it quite yet. Still, it is an idea to be terrifyingly excited for!
