Now, we’re going to be heading pretty deep into spoiler territory in this post for ‘Thor: Ragnarok‘ and potentially ‘Avengers: Infinity War‘. If you haven’t seen the latest outing for the God of Thunder you may want to turn back now but if you have, you might find some relief in what we’re about to share.
As we’ve recently been seeing new shots from ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ coming out thanks to Vanity Fair and other sources, one thing that quickly becomes obvious is that Chris Hemsworth’s Odinson seems to have some of his traditional gear in tow. While he, again there be spoilers here, lost his hair, Mjolnir, cape, and an eye during the events of his last movie, it looks like many of them are back for the photoshoot. However, it is stressed that they likely won’t all stay back as one of them sounds like it’ll be returning for good.
Let’s take a look at the text shared with the photo of Thor!
“The hammer and cape—which were broken and torn in Ragnarok—may be back for the photo shoot but that doesn’t mean they’ll return in Avengers: Infinity War. As for Thor’s most significant lost accessory, the eye that was plucked out of his head by Cate Blanchett’s Hela, all that remains of that trauma in our gallery is a light scar running down the right side of Hemsworth’s face.”
Now this could just be from lacking an eyepatch to include in the photoshoot, be part of a flashback, or just all being included as a throwback to our hero over the last ten years. However, logistically it would make sense for a God to be able to use all of the advanced technology of a defunct Asgard to replace, it but it’ll remain to be seen if it actually happens on screen or not.
Still, one can only hope that when he brings the thunder against Thanos that he’ll be doing so without an eye patch.
