The first trailer is finally out for Stephen King’s ‘It, and with the first look at the film, all of my fears of this not turning out good have been washed away. The first couple of stills of Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise didn’t have me at all excited for Andy Muschietti’s take on the classic novel but now that we’ve seen him in action I will happily admit that I was wrong.

Oh, so wrong.

If the entire film follows the feel from this trailer than New Line and Warner Brothers knew what they were doing when tapping Muschietti to tackle this movie and right now I have a solid reason to be excited for September 8th, 2017 when the movie is set to premiere!

In the trailer, we get a look at one of the most iconic scenes from the novel and mini-series, a look at The Loser’s Club, and a few shots of Pennywise himself even though he clearly isn’t out in full force as of yet.

Come with me and float after checking out the first trailer for the film right here!

When children begin to disappear in the town of Derry, Maine, a group of young kids are faced with their biggest fears when they square off against an evil clown named Pennywise, whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries.

While we don’t get to see a lot of Pennywise, what we’re shown fully sets the tone that I was hoping for and didn’t think we would get. He is instilling pure dread in the children, and you can see a bit of how he is doing that.
