We all know that Tom Cruise might be crazy for a variety of reasons but doing his own stunts has been one of his amazing graces and we’ve got behind-the-scenes video of him doing zero gravity stunts for ‘The Mummy!’ For everything that he’s done in the Mission Impossible franchise, this could truly be one of his craziest stunts to date. Yes, Cruise’s work in putting together that airplane scene in ‘The Mummy’ isn’t just a load of CGI as you’d see in most films, but he is actually filming in zero gravity to make the effect look as realistic as it possibly could without being in a plane that is falling apart around you.

There is a lot at stake in Universal’s Classic Horror Creature Cinematic Universe. Not only is it a big budget all-star packed film in its own right but the studio is planning on launching a multi-movie cinematic universe based off of it. If audiences don’t buy into what the first film is selling it could put their entire franchise in jeopardy.

Are you looking forward to ‘The Mummy’? Do you feel that Cruise’s need to do his own stunts will work to the movie’s benefit? Share your thoughts below!

Synopsis:

Thought safely entombed in a crypt deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient queen (Sofia Boutella of ‘Kingsman: The Secret Service’ and ‘Star Trek Beyond’) whose destiny was unjustly taken from her, is awakened in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension.

From the sweeping sands of the Middle East through hidden labyrinths under modern-day London, ‘The Mummy’ brings a surprising intensity and balance of wonder and thrills in an imaginative new take that ushers in a new world of gods and monsters.

‘The Mummy’ will be unwrapped on the big screen on June 9th, 2017.
