Ninjak vs the Valiant Universe

We’re all familiar with the comic book characters of Marvel and DC thanks to their major blockbusters hitting theaters a few times a year or the acclaimed TV shows on various platforms. However, a whole new universe filled with superheroes is working on emerging as a major contender for the Big Two as Valiant Entertainment announced their very first foray into live-action entertainment back at New York Comic Con. The six-episode digital series titled ‘Ninjak Vs. The Valiant Universe’ is set to follow MI-6’s master assassin as he runs the gauntlet against some of Valiant’s most formidable heroes like Bloodshot, Roku, and X-O Manowar. And after staying relatively quiet on that front since the teaser dropped in October, we now have some new looks at some of the other threats awaiting ‘Arrow’ star Michael Rowe.

Earlier this week, the Valiant Comics Twitter account shared a few behind the scenes shots from the set of ‘Ninjak Vs. The Valiant Universe’ to offer new looks at a couple of heroes appearing on the show. First, we got a glimpse at professional wrestler John Morrison as Gilad Anni-Padda AKA The Eternal Warrior, an immortal Mesopotamian prince that has managed to master a myriad of fighting styles while getting involved with most major fights throughout history. With the exception of the facial hair, the former WWE Superstar and current Lucha Underground performer has the look locked down pretty perfectly. Everything from the ammo holsters on his forearms to the color of his shirt underneath his armor, it’s all so spot on.

Although, the Eternal Warrior wasn’t the only one to look as if he had just jumped off the pages of a Valiant comic. Ciara Foster’s Amanda McKee AKA Livewire is also an uncanny replication. The heroine with the ability to communicate and command technology could prove to be quite the threat to Ninjak, but she might be lining up to face off against the mighty warrior played by Morrison as well by the looks of her surroundings. I mean, Ninjak can’t have all the fun, right?

‘Ninjak Vs. The Valiant Universe’ starring Michael Rowe, Jason David Frank, John Morrison, Chantelle Barry, Kevin Porter, Ciera Foster, and Derek Theler premieres in late 2017.
