Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

WARNING: We’ll be treading into some spoiler territory!

Disney welcomed would-be Jedi and Sith to their annual Star Wars Celebration, a con specifically for ‘Star Wars’ fans used to preview upcoming projects and of course the biggest event looming is this winter’s ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story‘.  As is the norm at cons, Disney unveiled a new trailer for the first ‘SW’ anthology movie which featured exclusive never-before-seen footage.

Showing con attendees exclusive footage is a regular practice to reward diehard fans, but for those who can’t attend it can be a slight burn.  Quite often, studios will make the footage available online after the con but in this case that didn’t happen.

But some fans broke the rules and filmed the new ‘Rogue One’ trailer with their phones and one has posted a high(ish) quality video of the clip.  Though there’s not a lot of new information offered, there are new snippets.

Honestly, it depends on your feelings on the matter, but this IS a pirated video, so proceed with caution.  If you want to watch the video, it can be found via the source link below.

The biggest addition that this clip offers is the inclusion of Darth Vader.  Ben Mendelsohn’s Director Orson Krennic is the main villain of ‘Rogue One’ but Vader casts a large shadow over the entire film.  James Earl Jones will return to voice the iconic villain, with various large-framed actors playing the physical role.

What do you think of the new clip?

Directed by Gareth Edwards, ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ stars Felicity Jones, Mads Mikkelsen, Ben Mendelsohn, Alan Tudyk, Donnie Yen, Forest Whitaker, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, and Jiang Wen and will fly into theaters on December 16th, 2016.
