On ‘Jessica Jones’, the main bad guy is Kilgrave, played by David Tennant, whose mind control powers are derived from the sound of his voice, but ironically in this universe, the man himself is the stuff of whispers.  People aren’t sure he really even exists, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, including his mental enslaving of the title hero, played by Krysten Ritter, a super strong private eye who ran traumatized from her life as a spandex-clad super hero. But Kilgrave’s voice isn’t the only one with power, as evidenced by outspoken talk radio host Trish Walker played by Rachael Taylor.  But will her platform betray her?  Jessica certainly thinks so. In a clip from the first episode of the Netflix show, Trish has it out on the air with Carrie-Anne Moss’ character Jeryn Hogarth, an attorney that doesn’t even think Kilgrave exists. But Jessica knows better. See for yourself below:

The character Trish Walker is based on the comic book character Patsy Walker, who sometimes operates as the super hero Hellcat.  Jeryn Hogarth in the comics, is a man who has ties to Iron Fist as well as Misty Knight and Colleen Wing.

Hogarth and Moss are regulars on the series along with Ritter and Tennant and Mike Colter who plays fellow Marvel hero Luke Cage.  Also part of the cast are Eka Darville, Erin Moriarty and Wil Traval.

The series becomes available to stream in its entirety tomorrow.
