If you are looking forward to Showtime bringing David Lynch and Mark Frost back to ‘Twin Peaks‘ you probably are eating up each and every casting announcement as much as I’ve been. Today we’ve learned that another new face will be joining the series as Peter Sarsgaard (‘Orphan’,’Green Lantern’) has just signed on for the show! We haven’t been made aware of who either actor will be playing but he’ll be joining newcomers Amanda Seyfried (‘Jennifer’s Body’,’Red Riding Hood’), Balthazar Getty (‘Brothers & Sisters’,’Lord of the Flies’), and Robert Knepper (‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1,’R.I.P.D.’) who also have mystery roles. They’ll be joining Kyle MacLachlan who is set to reprise his role as Agent Dale Cooper as well as Sheryl Lee and Dana Ashbrook returning as Laura Palmer and Bobby Briggs respectively.
To celebrate the new cast members Showtime has released a new teaser trailer for ‘Twin Peaks’ to enjoy! Well, you’ll enjoy it if you were a fan of the original series at least.
So there is really nothing new in the way of clips here. We’ve just got Michael J. Anderson as the Man from Another Place doing his famous dance routine. Yes, they don’t call these teasers for nothing folks.
It does make me wonder if we’ll be getting any kind of an explanation of the character or if he’ll somehow be returning. At this time no casting announcement has been made concerning Anderson.
