In another DC movie whose cast is growing at an alarming rate, we’ve just found out that Common (‘Wanted’,’Terminator Salvation’) is set to join ‘Suicide Squad.’ That being said, we really have no idea past that on who he’ll end up playing in the movie or if his role is a major part or just a cameo. With how many villains they’ll be showing imprisoned, it could easily be a jumping point for a role to reprise in a future DC movie.

Common has been featured in multiple action and genre films to date and a comic based movie seems to be the perfect thing to add to his resume if you don’t count the comic adaptation of ‘Wanted.’ At one point his name was mentioned as a Green Lantern candidate though that seems to be a bit of a larger role to fit in an already villain-centric and filled film.

Chances are that unless his cameo is super brief as the Green Lantern, we’ll actually be seeing him as one of the villains which will be the focus of the film.

In ‘Suicide Squad’ we’ll be seeing a group of villains who are forced to work together for the government. They are set to be a secretive black ops team that will have no choice but to follow the orders of Amanda Waller who is using them to prevent the government from having to get its own hands dirty.

Director David Ayer is already going to have his hands full with Jared Leto, Will Smith, Margot Robbie as the mains though it will also be including Joel Kinnaman, Cara Delevingne, Viola David, Adam Beach, Ike Barinholtz, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, and Scott Eastwood. That isn’t even mentioning the potential cameos by Jesse Eisenberg and Ben Affleck. It’s hard to imagine that we’ll be seeing another major actor joining the cast.

‘Suicide Squad’ hits theaters on August 5, 2016.
