It looks like Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (‘G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra’,’Lost’) who played two roles in ‘Thor: The Dark World’ is leaving the Marvel Universe behind as he is set to join DC’s upcoming ‘Suicide Squad‘ film. He has signed on to this overly large cast of villains from DC’s universe as someone from Batman‘s rogue gallery by taking on the role of Killer Croc. With Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn and Jared Leto as The Joker, it would seem that Batman’s villains are getting quite a bit of attention in the film so far. With the caped crusader’s rumored cameo that probably shouldn’t end up being too surprising.

For those unfamiliar with the character, Killer Croc was introduced back in March of 1983 in ‘Batman’ #357 which was also the first appearance of Jason Todd. Since that time he has been a mainstay villain in both the comics and cartoon series. Killer Croc is actually known as Waylon Jones who has a rare disease that gives him reptilian traits. From abuse as a child he was thrown early in life on the path of becoming a career criminal. Generally more animal than man he usually ends up relying more on his strength than his intelligence.

As he has progressively become more beast-like over the years it’ll be interesting to see what stage of his condition that he will be in when introduced in the film. Also it’ll be interesting to see if he is just a prisoner or takes an active role in the movie. I don’t think I’d want them ripping off of The Lizard from ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ exactly but a little more reptile than human could really work here.

What are your thoughts on Killer Croc being in the ‘Suicide Squad’ film? Do you think that he will have an active role or do we already have too many villains for him to get much screen time? Share your thoughts below!
