During Fan Fest Fest 2015, Caity Lotz came out and spoke on the current state of her character, Sara Lance, and about her involvement in the new CW spin-off series. What might the spin-off series be about? How could she possibly be starring again in the CW’s DC Universe when Sara was dead? Was Sara really dead? Check out the quote from the her interview below, as well as the source video from Bow Echo Media below it (‘Arrow’ part begins around minutes 3). And below that, check out the mystery roles that will also be on the show.

“Sara Lance definitely died in Episode 1 of Season 3 — oh, spoiler alert! Sorry if you’re not caught up… has anybody heard about the spinoff? So there is a new show in development and I’m so excited to finally be able to talk about this. The Atom, Firestorm, my character and, so I guess that is a big thing that’s going on and everyone keeps asking me when they see on the Internet, ‘Well, you’re dead. How are you going to be in the new show? Is it just going to be flashbacks or are you playing a whole new character? Are you Sara Lance? I would love to tell you, but I think they might kill me.”

It is shaping up to look as though the new show might just feature a time-travelling team who jump around to preserve the important moments in the timeline. It might explain how Sara is still alive (some kind of weird time-loophole, or else they save her before she is killed.) Either way, we know that Victor Garber (the brainy half of Firestorm from ‘The Flash”) and Brandon Routh (The Atom from ‘Arrow’) are also set to star in the spin-off, meaning the show would definitely be getting some super-powered teammates. Here’s the cryptic descriptions of the rest of the cast members that has been released:

THE TRAVELER” | Described as a “Han Solo-esque rogue who gets by with his charm, this hero hails from the future, and has journeyed back in time on a secret mission. His razor-sharp wit hides the pain of a man who has lived through serious conflict. He also harbors many secrets, always leaving both his teammates and the audience unsure of his true allegiances.”

FEMALE WARRIOR” | This twentysomething Latina is pretty but unassuming, book smart and socially awkward by day. But by night, when she hears the cry of battle, her fury is ignited and she becomes a fierce warrior — so much so, that sometimes she can become a threat to others.”

MYSTERY HERO” | An African-American male in his twenties will fill the role of a regular, street smart guy who unexpectedly gains powers, and then, as part of the team, regularly quips about the insanity of the situations.”

Rumor has it the three mystery roles are none other than Rip Hunter (aka Timemaster), Kendra Munoz-Saunders (aka Hawk-Girl), and Static Shock, though take those names with a grain of salt, The descriptions are vague enough that they could actually apply to any number of DC comics heroes.

What do you think of another ‘Arrow’ spin-off? Can a show succeed with this many heroes on one team? Can they believably bring Sara Lance back from the dead?
