Set to open on August 8th, ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ is a modern day reintroduction to the classic franchise, directed by Jonathan Liebesman. The movie stars Megan Fox, Pete Ploszek, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Alan Ritchson, Danny Woodburn, Will Arnett, Whoopi Goldberg and William Fichtner as The Shredder.
Now a new high resolution image of the supreme baddie has been released. As you can see, this is no simple soldier with short daggers on the backs of his hands. This new spin appears to borrow from more recent armored characters, perhaps mostly the Silver Samurai as depicted in ‘The Wolverine’. Also glimpsed in the photo is the Turtle’s sensei Splinter, set to defend himself against the massive foe. Check out the picture below:

The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
