So there has been a lot of mixed reviews of the changes in the look of the face of the ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles‘ from the first trailer and now we have something new to take into consideration — the new look of Shredder. To be fair the look is pretty brief and it is just part of the armor which looks to be on display and not being worn. Still, I have to say that unlike the complaints on the turtles the updated look of Shredder’s armor looks to fit the feel of the character. Much like Splinter seems to have his look down as well!

Now while we only get a tease of Shredder’s new costume, we do get a really good look at Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Donatello. Noses aside, the action sequences teased in this trailer completely fit the fighting style I pictured for them and that has me excited. While I was mostly in agreement with him before, I really hope that co-creator Peter Laird likes this trailer more than the first one. I know I did!

Take a look!

The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April O’Neil (Megan Fox) and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick (Will Arnett) to save the city and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan. Based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Characters Created by PETER LAIRD and KEVIN EASTMAN with a Screenplay by JOSH APPELBAUM & ANDRÉ NEMEC and EVAN DAUGHERTY, Producer MICHAEL BAY (the blockbuster Transformers franchise) and director JONATHAN LIEBESMAN (Wrath of the Titans) bring Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the popular franchise that has captivated audiences of all ages for decades, into the 21st century.

So what do you think of the new look for the Shredder? Are the action sequences pictured here swaying you away from the annoying noses that the turtles shouldn’t have and catching your interest? Share your thoughts below!

‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ will come out of its shell and into theaters on August 8th.
