Over the course of fourteen years and six movies, Hugh Jackman has become synonymous with the Marvel Comics superhero Wolverine. Currently, the actor is out promoting the seventh round as the character in the upcoming ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ and when he stopped by BBC Radio One’s ‘The Matt Edmondson Show’, he had the opportunity to dust of his singing skills and combine them with his X-Men character.

Prior to appearing in movies and earning Academy Award nominations, Jackman was an extremely accomplished stage actor with an excellent voice perfect for musicals. Some of his best roles include Curly from ‘Oklahoma!’, Peter Allen in ‘The Boy From Oz’, and Gaston in ‘Beauty and the Beast’, but now he can add James Howlett to that list as he has just lent his voice to ‘Wolverine: The Musical’:

You may recognize the familiar tune from the video as ‘Who Am I?’ from ‘Les Miserables’, which features Jackman as Jean Valjean. Even if you don’t, it’s still an interesting way to promote the latest X-Men film. Plus, it’s never a bad thing to hear this talented individual carry a tune, even if it’s kinda corny.

What did you think of ‘Wolverine: The Musical’? Do you prefer it over ‘Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark’? Let us know in the comment section.

‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ starring Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Peter Dinklage, Ellen Page, Halle Berry, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, and Evan Peters is set to hit theaters on May 23, 2014.
