‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ opens on May 2nd, 2014 (in the US. The UK audience gets to see it earlier on April 18th), but so far, no footage has been released. The first trailer will debut on December 13, before ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug’. But to tide you over, three new images have surfaced, showing a fire-fighting Spidey (Andrew Garfield), Jaime Foxx as Electro and a quieter moment between Garfield’s Peter Parker and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy.

Here is the synopsis for the sequel:
“In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, for Peter Parker, life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen, high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro, emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn, returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.”
The cast also includes Sally Field, Paul Giamatti, Dane DeHaan, Chris Cooper, Felicity Jones and Colm Feore.
