There are a lot of unexpected things that happen at cons, and this trip to New York Comic Con was no different. While I was wandering around the floor, I ran into Chris Hardwick of The Nerdist, ‘Web Soup’, ‘Talking Dead’, and much more. After getting a picture with him, I asked if he had time for an interview and he did, right before he was to host a Q&A with the legendary Grant Morrison.

During our impromptu interview, I asked him about how things with The Nerdist got started, just how much insider information he gets from doing shows like ‘Talking Dead’, and nerd culture in the media, all while he was wielding a Sonic Screwdriver that was made by the super cool 3D printer on display at the Nerdist booth. After the interview, he told me that he was going to email Matt Smith and say something along the lines of “You’re in trouble now. Look what I’ve got!”

Thanks to the Pretentious Film Majors, you can check out the full interview in the video below, but I must warn you that we had some sound issues during this interview, so we had to use the camera audio. Worry not though, dear readers. You can still hear everything that we’re saying in this fun, yet brief, interview:

I wish I had more time to talk to him, but I enjoyed what little time I had with Chris Hardwick. Hopefully our paths will cross again one day so I can talk to him about ‘Doctor Who’, ‘Singled Out’, and his guest appearance on ‘Boy Meets World’.
