The new international poster for ‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’ has hit the web and it depicts Lincoln (Benjamin Walker) looking very ominous and badass with his axe covering his face. But, as badass as he tries to look, there’s something about the trailers and featurettes that just isn’t sitting quite right with me.

Okay… fine… I haven’t read Seth Grahame-Smith’s novel on which ‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’ is based so I may be entirely wrong in my views of the movie… but this thing looks like a stinker just waiting to happen. But if you told me years ago that I’d fall in love with a television show about a cheerleader who kills vampires and demons which is in turn based on a lame movie, I would’ve laughed in your face.

So maybe director Timur Beckmambetov (‘Wanted’) will prove me wrong and make our 16th president into an axe-wielding vampire-slaying hero worth watching but, as it is, the trailers are giving me flashback to Hugh Jackman’s turn in ‘Van Helsing’.

What do you think? Are you ready to see Lincoln battle the undead? Or, like me, does the title alone make you cringe with the awfulness of it all? Comment below and let your voice be heard.
