During Wondercon today, the ‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’ panel premiered a new trailer and we have it here for you!

Directed by Timur Bekmambetov (‘Wanted’) and produced by Tim Burton, the movie follows the story of our 16th president who, as a young boy, witnesses the shocking death of his mother by the hands of a supernatural creature which leads him to a path of an on-going war, and ultimately the presidency, as he chronicles his exploits in a hidden diary and reveals how he became the greatest hunter of the undead.

The movie is based on the 2010 book by Seth Grahame-Smith and stars Benjamin Walker as Abraham Lincoln, Mary Elizabeth Winstead (‘Scott Pilgrim vs. the World’) as Mary Todd Lincoln, Dominic Cooper (‘Captain America: The First Avenger’) as Henry Sturges, Anthony Mackie (‘The Hurt Locker’) as William Johnson, Alan Tudyk (‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’) as Stephen A. Douglas and Rufus Sewell (‘The Illusionist’) as the villainous main vampire, Adam.

The trailer starts off pretty much like the first and the international ones but does have some action scenes that haven’t been seen before. Better yet, it’s got some great shots of Walker welding an axe that would make any warrior proud. Check out the trailer yourself and let me know if you’ll be putting this movie on your summer’s must see list.
