‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ TV Spot

A trio of television spots for some of the summer’s most anticipated movies without superheroes in them hit the internet today, and Collider collected them in a nice little bundle for us that basically yelled, “Hey ScienceFiction.com, we’re lookin at you!”. Since we can’t really turn down an invitation like that, let’s check out what Hollywood has in store for us in the coming months.

First up, we have a spot for ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’, the reimagining of the classic fairy tale from the producer Tim Burton’s ‘Alice In Wonderland’ starring Kristen Stewart of ‘Twilight’, Chris Hemsworth of ‘Thor’ and ‘The Avengers’, and Oscar winning actress Charlize Theron. This action-packed adaptation of the Snow White story ain’t your Fantasyland fodder, and it opens on June 1st.

‘Dark Shadows’ TV Spot

Next, we have ‘Dark Shadows’ from eccentric director Tim Burton and his ever-present leading man Johnny Depp. Based on the ABC gothic soap opera that aired from the late 60s to the early 70s, this film follows Barnabas Collins, a wealthy playboy from 1752 who was turned into a vampire by witch who’s heart he broke, then buried alive. When he’s unearthed in 1972, he returns to his home of Collinwood to find that his family is no longer as esteemed as it once was, but vows to return them to the family’s former glory. Also starring Eva Green, Michelle Pfeiffer, Helena Bonham Carter, and Chloe Moretz, ‘Dark Shadows’ opens on May 11th.

‘Prometheus’ TV Spot:

Finally, we have the short, but sweet offering from Ridley Scott’s ‘Prometheus’. This 30-second spot briefly touches on the journey that that the crew of the Prometheus takes to discover the origins of mankind in the darkest corners of the universe before finding themselves in a fight to save their lives and future of the human race. Starring Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, Idris Elba, and Charlize Theron, ‘Prometheus’ opens on June 8th in 2D and 3D.
