Even though it’s three months away, ‘Prometheus’ already has a bunch of trailers and television spots in circulation. Combined with all the awesome viral marketing, 20th Century Fox really isn’t skimping on the advertising for Ridley Scott’s return to science fiction.

This 30-second clip, courtesy of Bleeding Cool, was made to appeal to the general public rather than the already existing fans of the genre. In addition to giving a little glimpse as to what ‘Prometheus’ is generally about, it also shows off its director’s other cinematic accomplishments, like ‘Gladiator’ and ‘Blade Runner’. But not to leave the fanboys hanging, this new spot has a few shots of new footage to hold them over as well. Check out the new TV spot below.
