It’s the episode that Whovians have been preparing for for months – the final time Amy Pond and Rory Williams will be seen travelling with the Doctor and BBC has released two featurettes to prepare the fans of their departure.

This Saturday’s Fall season finale of ‘Doctor Who’ will be a sad one indeed (okay, for some of you who have not been fond of a certain companion it will be cause for celebration) and the Doctor will once again have to experience a heartbreaking loss. In the latest videos, Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill, Caroline Skinner and Steven Moffat introduce the episode ‘The Angels Take Manhattan’ and touch upon the bittersweet knowledge that the is the end of a chapter for Gillan and Darvill.

The videos are a short touching tribute and it just brings home the need for the show ‘Doctor Who Confidential’ to return. Make sure you have the tissues handy as the sad music used in the first video doesn’t help with the knowledge that this upcoming episode may be ranked as one of the saddest goodbyes to a companion.

Writtten by Steven Moffat, ‘Doctor Who: The Angels Take Manhattan’ will air on BBC America at 9PM on Saturday, September 29th. After the show, make sure you come back to ScienceFiction.com to read the recap and leave your thoughts about the episode!
