We’re just over a week away from Syfy inflicting ‘The Banana Splits Movie’ on the world but before they do they wanted to torment us with a new trailer for the film. While the film was already released digitally in August, the official television premiere will have the movie airing on Syfy on October 12th, 2019. Perfect for the Halloween programming as we’ll see Fleegle, Bingo, Drooper, and Snorky changing course from delivering a show perfect for kids to one perfect for killing.

It is easy to guess that this isn’t what Harley and his family were expecting to see or experience when heading to a taping of ‘The Banana Splits’ television show. This movie stars Dani Kind (‘Wynonna Earp’) as Beth, Finlay Wojtak-Hissong (‘The Kindness of Strangers’) as Harley, and features Eric Bauza (‘Looney Tunes Cartoons,’ ‘UniKitty!’) as the voice of these children’s characters gone mad.
‘The Banana Splits Movie’ is brought to us by director Danishka Esterhazy and screenwriters Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas and looks to be just a ridiculously good time. Ridiculous at any rate. I honestly can’t say I feel that this is a good idea at all. With Syfy canceling quality shows left and right such as ‘Happy!‘, ‘Deadly Class‘, and ‘Nightflyers‘ while greenlighting a B-movie of this caliber, you have to wonder about whoever is making decisions at the network.
