Class Is Dismissed As Syfy Cancels Deadly Class

Sad news as Syfy has canceled ‘Deadly Class’ after only a single 10-episode season. The show ended in March, and usually, fans of the network tend to get a couple of seasons of a show before the rug is pulled out from under them but the series based on the comics by Rick Remender had no such luck.

For those of you who are going to miss the series, not all hope is lost! Sony Pictures Television is confident in what they’ve released and is currently shopping around for another distributor. The series had a lot of talent in front of the camera with a cast including Benedict Wong, Benjamin Wadsworth, Lana Condor, María Gabriela de Faría, Luke Tennie, and Liam James.

Did you enjoy the first season of ‘Deadly Class’? Were you at all surprised that Syfy canceled it? Which network or streaming service do you hope picks up the show?  Share your thoughts in the comments below!

Deadly Class follows Marcus, a disillusioned teen recruited into an elite private academy where the world’s top crime families send their successors. Maintaining his moral code while navigating a ruthless curriculum, vicious social cliques, and his own adolescent uncertainties may prove fatal. Set against the backdrop of late 80s counterculture, Deadly Class is a coming of age story, unlike anything you’ve ever seen. Based on the smash hit comic series of the same name by Rick Remender.
