The CW hasn’t released a synopsis for the Season 6 premiere of ‘The Flash’, but the title of the first episode is “Into the Void,” and a new batch of photographs which tease a little about the episode has been released.  Perhaps most tellingly, there is an image of The Monitor (LaMonica Garrett) showing up in the Time Tunnel.  We already know that the new season of ‘The Flash’ will largely be focused on setting up “Crisis on Infinite Earths,” the mega-crossover event coming this fall, which will involve all of The CW’s DC superhero shows even ‘Black Lightning’, which has been disconnected up until now, and ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ which is on hiatus until the new year.  That also includes ‘Arrow’ which is leaving the air after a shortened 10-episode eighth season.

For the time being, check out these images from ‘The Flash’ Season 6, Episode 1, “Into the Void.”

At SDCC, Candice Patton discussed the beginning of the new season of ‘The Flash’:

“Season 6 picks up like 10 seconds after Season 5 so Barry and Iris are still dealing with the loss of Nora, it’s very raw, it’s very fresh.  We see them very early on, Episode 1, really grappling with how to deal with the loss of Nora so they can move forward in a healthy way and deal with the upcoming Crisis on Infinite Earths.”

New DC series ‘Batwoman’ will premiere on Sunday, October 6 at 8 pm ET, followed by ‘Supergirl’ at 9pm.  ‘Black Lightning’ will move to Monday nights at 8pm EST starting on October 7.  ‘Arrow’ moves to Tuesday nights at 9pm EST, after ‘The Flash’ at 8pm EST, beginning on October 8.  ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ will return for a special episode to connect to “Crisis on Infinite Earths” but will return for its regular season after that.
