Just like in ‘Avengers: Endgame’ we’ll be seeing a lot of time travel happening in the final season of Marvel’s ‘Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. ‘ which will allow for some fun cameos and appearances. Rumors have been swirling that Hayley Atwell could be back as Agent Peggy Carter but now we know of another face from the past is set to appear: Patrick Warburton’s Rick Stoner.
While the sixth season ended with the cast and crew having traveled back to the 1930s, it looks as if that won’t be the only era in which they’ll appear in. We didn’t actually get to see anyone interact with Agent Stoner as he had appeared in archival footage and as a guide on viewscreens that helped the agents navigate through The Lighthouse.

The news came out of this year’s Dublin Comic Con where Warburton appeared. The actor was asked about returning for another outing in the final season for the series.
“Yeah I’m coming back. I shot some stuff recently with those guys. That was a lot of fun.”
We still don’t know exactly which eras will be covered in ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D..’ With a possible Agent Carter return, we could see her and her secretive husband Captain America make an appearance. If they travel far enough into the future there is a chance that Grant Ward, Lincoln Campbell, Raina, Jasper Sitwell, A.I.D.A., Jeffrey Mace, Glenn Talbot, Holden Radcliffe, a living Phil Coulson, and so many others could also show up!
