Another Life one sheet

To say that I was underwhelmed by the recent teaser-trailer for ‘Another Life’ is an understatement. Going into the full trailer, I had my doubts about what to expect. I’m happy to say that I was proven wrong. I’m still not sure if the entire series is going to end up good, but this trailer is like night and day for quality, pacing, and dialogue from that first teaser.

In other words, I’m now interested in seeing how this one plays out.

Unlike the teaser, this actually delivers a solid idea of what the upcoming Netflix series is actually going to be about. An alien artifact lands on our planet, and Katee Sackhoff has to lead a team to an alien world to find out where it came from and why. Only, things go from bad to worse, and it looks like the Earth could be in for either an extinction-level event or will be tossed into the center of an intergalactic war.

Either way, I want to find out which it is! My one remaining complaint is that the series still looks like we might be just above Syfy’s level of special effects and not quite up to par for what Netflix has been putting out.

When a mysterious alien Artifact lands on Earth, Commander Niko Breckinridge (Katee Sackhoff) has to lead humanity’s first interstellar mission to its planet of origin, while her husband (Justin Chatwin) tries to make first contact with the artifact back on Earth. Another Life explores the miracle of life, how precious life is in a universe mostly empty of it, and the lengths we will go to protect the ones we love.
