We all know that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is about to head into the DC Universe as Black Adam but fans of the actor can’t help but wonder who he could play in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. ‘Avengers: Endgame’ co-director Anthony Russo recently sat down and was asked about who The Rock would be perfect for.
While Russo is no longer working for Marvel Studios in any upcoming installments, he still answered with no hesitation, and that makes you wonder which hero could Johnson be perfect for. Following the release of ‘Avengers: Endgame’ not only did the actor praise Marvel Studios on the release but in a video had mentioned that both Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios had attempted to get in touch with the actor.

If ‘Inhumans’ hadn’t gone to television and been a total flop you could easily see The Rock play Black Bolt. That being said, I believe that Namor is the perfect role for the actor. We’ve already received a hint in ‘Avengers: Endgame’ that the King of Atlantis was coming and Johnson has the swagger that would be required for the part.
All of that in mind, Russo’s idea might top that:
“The superhero that I would most like The Rock to play is The Rock. He is the best version of him.”
It is hard to argue that seeing The Rock be himself wouldn’t be an excellent fit for the MCU. We’ve seen things get a bit meta already with actors playing other actors so Johnson as himself would be pretty much perfect.
