Will Bridges might be best known for his work on writing for ‘Black Mirror‘ but that might be changing on a new series for AMC. Bridges is set to co-write a new show that has been greenlit by ‘The Walking Dead‘ network with actor and comedian Brett Goldstein. Bridges and Goldstein are working as executive producers with Jolyon Symonds.
The new show mixes science where humanity has found a way for everyone to find their true soul mate. The show will start off as most newer series do on AMC with six episodes. This untitled anthology show explores what it will cost for everyone to find true love. Likely, we’ll see people who look to be incompatible, who were already in relationships, or have to go against social or cultural norms to be with their soul mate.
The concept is based on a short film the two previously created titled ‘For Life’ which we were able to find online and you can watch right here:
It should be noted that this is a loose concept of what the series will actually be based on and not something that you’ll actually be seeing on screen.
According to AMC’s president of programming David Madden:
“The show explores how technological innovation can impact the most delicate matters of the heart, and each episode will turn personal life choices into high-stakes drama. It’s a fresh yet relatable idea, portrayed through wildly entertaining tales with unexpected twists, humor, and meaningful emotion. Will and Brett are immensely talented creators, and we are thrilled to have these new and observant voices on AMC.”
The series is set to launch in 2020 on AMC.
