Fresh off the chopping block that is in the future of all Marvel TV features on Netflix, rumor has it that ‘Daredevil’ might already be making a comeback. That being said, it might not be as the show we’ve come to know and love on Netflix but a completely new iteration.
Netflix shared the details that “future projects” could bring The Man Without Fear back but it wasn’t clear if that would be in a new animated format, a reference to the comics, or if Marvel TV could have the option to take their shows to another network. Disney has plenty of options if that last choice is available such as Hulu or even one of the Fox Networks once they have control of them. These shows do feel too dark to make an appearance on either ABC, Freeform, or Disney’s upcoming Disney+ streaming service which is meant to be family-friendly.
The statement that Netflix shared was that:
“While the series on Netflix has ended, the three existing seasons will remain on the service for years to come, while the Daredevil character will live on in future projects for Marvel.”
While it isn’t written in stone that ‘Jessica Jones‘ and ‘The Punisher will be canceled after their upcoming seasons, it seems unlikely that they’ll be able to be allowed to continue with the flagship of the Marvel Netflix shows coming to an end. Chances are, they’ll be joining ‘Iron Fist‘, ‘Luke Cage‘, and now ‘Daredevil’ in the land of canceled shows. One just has to hope that Marvel TV can still bring these heroes back for more somewhere else.
Do you think we’ll see Marvel TV take these shows to another network or streaming service? Where could you imagine them appearing with the outlets Disney currently has available? Will the show even come back or are we doomed to have it off the air forever? Share your thoughts in the comments below, True Believers!
