Chris Hemsworth Wants A Team Thor Comedy Series To Happen!

With Thor being left out of ‘Captain America: Civil War,‘ one of the best things to happen to the Marvel Cinematic Universe was the non-canon “Team Thor” skits. While there are no plans for Disney+ to create an ongoing series based around Chris Hemsworth as Thor in any form, he’d be open to returning to living with Daley Pearson’s Darryl Jacobson in a buddy comedy.

It isn’t clear if the current King of Asgard will still even be alive at the end of ‘Avengers: Endgame’ but if he is and isn’t too busy ruling what is left of his fellow Gods, it would be a good time for the God of Thunder to take a break with his Australian roommate.

Hemsworth agrees:

“I’d love to do that. I’d love to see Darryl more. I’d love to do a little mockumentary TV show of us living together and rooming together and our day-to-day adventures outside of saving the world, just sort of the regular stuff. I thought that was a lot of fun to shoot, and also I think it’d be cool to have a TV show like that yeah.”

You might wonder as to what kind of activities they would be up to, but the actor had a few ideas:

“Surfing, fishing, we’d go to a pub. It’d be good fun. I’d take him to Asgard, and we could explore that world.”

Darryl would be a fish out of water in whatever ends up as Asgard, but it would be an entertaining “journey into mystery” for him and viewers everywhere! Of course, after ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ we did learn that Darryl had a new roommate in Jeff Goldblum’s Grandmaster which could add an entirely new level of intrigue and humor into the mix. Director Taika Waititi also had stated that he loved directing these skits and would happily do more down the line!
