Martial artist/actor Mike Moh has already portrayed one Marvel Comics character, the amphibious Triton on ABC’s failure of a miniseries ‘Inhumans’, but he’d like a chance to redeem himself by playing another, this time on the big screen– ‘Shang-Chi: Master of Kung-Fu’. Moh shared a tweet written by a fan, saying “If @mikemoh plays Shang-Chi, Master of Kung-Fu in the upcoming movie I will be 100% on board.”

Moh responded with the “praying” emoji, which suggests that he’d love the chance to take on the role.
Moh appeared as Triton on three episodes of ‘Inhumans’, but he was heavily obscured under makeup and… well, no one watched it anyway. So him tackling another Marvel role may not be out of the question, especially since there is little connection between the TV and movie divisions. After all, Alfre Woodard appeared in ‘Captain America: Civil War’ as Miriam Sharpe, then as Mariah Dillard on both seasons of ‘Luke Cage’.
Moh can currently be seen portraying Bruce Lee in the trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’. He previously portrayed another cartoon martial artist, Ryu in the digital series ‘Steet Fighter: Assassin’s Fist’ and the follow-up go90’s ‘Street Fighter: Resurrection’. He also appeared on two seasons of ‘Empire’ as Steve Cho, and will be seen in ‘Killerman’, with Liam Hemsworth and Diane Guerrero.
It was announced in December that Marvel had fast-tracked ‘Shang-Chi’, in hopes that a movie starring an Asian or Asian-American hero could do as well as (or at least close to) ‘Black Panther’, its first movie with a black lead.
Shang-Chi premiered in 1973, and was created by Steve Englehart and Jim Starlin.
