While summer has become the home of superheroes, there are still other options when it comes to the local cineplex and despite the lack of Infinity Stones, Jordan Peele‘s ‘Us’, the follow-up to his film directing debut ‘Get Out’ is one of the most anticipated movies of the year.  Like ‘Jaws’ in 1975, ‘Us’ is set at the seashore and it may scare you away from ever vacationing there again.

Lupita Nyong’o and Winston Duke play Adelaide and Gabe Wilson, who take their kids, Zora and Jason (Shahadi Wright Joseph and Evan Alex respectively) to her family’s vacation home, where they encounter four intruders.  But are these invaders complete strangers?  It doesn’t appear that way.  In fact, it looks as though these are people they know quite well.

‘Us’ premiered to a rapturous reception at SXSW, which bodes well for its wide release.  If you want to get a sample of what to expect, here are two new clips.

In the first, Adelaide confides in Gabe, to discuss the bizarre coincidences that have been occurring since they arrived at their vacation spot:

In the second clip, Gabe goes to confront these strangers when they first appear in the driveway.  Despite being armed with a baseball bat, he realizes he is probably no match for these strangers.

‘Us’ also stars Elisabeth Moss, Tim Heidecker, ‘Aquaman’s Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and ‘Titans’ Anna Diop.

Accompanied by her husband, son and daughter, Adelaide Wilson returns to the beachfront home where she grew up as a child. Haunted by a traumatic experience from the past, Adelaide grows increasingly concerned that something bad is going to happen to her family. Her worst fears soon become a reality when four masked strangers descend upon the house, forcing the Wilsons into a fight for survival. When the masks come off, each stranger takes the appearance of a different family member.

‘Us’ begins haunting theaters on March 22.
