Fans of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale‘ are excited for the release of the long-awaited sequel ‘The Testaments‘ and to celebrate, you’ll have a chance to actually see author Margaret Atwood talk about her work! In an event billed as ‘Margaret Atwood: Live in Cinemas,’ a live interview will be broadcast at over 1,000 cinemas to celebrate the September 10th release of her upcoming work.

The event is being described as follows:

On Tuesday, September 10th, the wait will be over…The Testaments, Margaret Atwood’s highly anticipated sequel to The Handmaid’s Tale, will be revealed. The momentous literary event will be celebrated with an exclusive live cinema broadcast from the National Theatre, as Fane Productions presents an evening with the Canadian novelist, poet, literary critic, and inventor. This will likely be an exciting prospect for fans of the author to find out more about her and her work. The interview is going to be a combination of a live-stream in some areas with a tape-delayed in others depending on time zones. It will take place at London’s National Theatre and be conducted by BBC journalist Samira Ahmed.

The original novel was published in 1985 and has gained quite a bit of attention in 2017 after Hulu adapted it to an ongoing series which has captured the minds of audiences across the globe. Fathom Event’s Digital Broadcast Network will be responsible for bringing this event to life.
